Christmas Films: Space Studios Team Staff Picks!

Christmas Films: Space Studios Team Staff Picks!

Posted 22nd Dec 2025 at 12:35 by Tom Clarke

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, the tree is up, the presents are ready and it’s time for the most important decision… which Christmas film to watch!

Fortunately for you to help with the decision, we’ve pulled together our team favorites… let us know yours in the comments!

Dean’s Top Pick (Studio Manager)

A Muppets Christmas Carol – Everything a Christmas film should be. A classic mixed with the muppets, what’s not to love. I loved it as a kid and see something new every time I watch it now as an adult. You can see how much fun Michael Caine was having through the entire production and the sheer scale of the film shines through in every scene. Christmas isn’t Christmas without the Muppets in my house.

Nikki’s Top Pick (Studio Co-Ordinator)

Hook! Even though the sun is shining and the flowers are blooming in Neverland, the entire reason they are there is because they visit the Wendy Lady at Christmas. I love the adventure and of course, Robin Williams as Peter Pan, it’s full of nostalgia. Bangarang!

Gareth’s Top Pick: (Business Development Director)

It has to be Home Alone. It instantly takes me back to childhood and those brilliantly chaotic Christmases from years gone by. I still laugh at the same moments every year, and now my 9-year-old son loves it too, which makes it even better. It’s become a proper Christmas tradition, made even more special this year by seeing it at our local cinema. And a special mention for the late, great John Candy – his cameo is pure Christmas gold.

Rob’s Pick (Managing Director)

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. The comic genius of Chevy Chase. Still watch it every Christmas!

Serena’s Top Pick (Front of House)

I have lots of festive favourites but if I had to choose just one, then it would be Love Actually. I love how it shows how different Christmas can be for people but how, in the end, we’re still all connected. Christmas for me is about spending time with the ones we love and I think that is summed up perfectly in Love Actually. I also have really cherished memories of watching it with my Mum and Nan ♥️ A very close second would be A Muppets Christmas Carol – it’s a classic!

Cheryl’s Top Pick (Brand and Marketing Manager)

One of my favourite Christmas Films is The Holiday, I just love how the two stories overlap and has a perfect cast, my favourite character being Kate Winslet and I love how they incorporate “the movies” in it – ,it’s the perfect Christmas comfort movie! However, I also have to say that I love Die Hard too. And watch it every year – at Christmas.

Honorable mentions:

Jack Frost

It’s a Wonderful Life

Santa Claus The Move

Edward Scissorhands
